A2 is simply the next layer of bricks, built on the strong foundation of A1. If you take the time to master A1 now, you’ll speak Russian with confidence and nuance in the future.
Why A1 matters more than you think?
Many people believe A1 is “easy,” but in Russian it’s the foundation of the entire grammar system. Without it, you can’t build fluency.

How to Take the Test
This is a grammar test. It takes about 15–20 minutes to complete.
It will help you see where you are within the A1 level — what you already know and what you still need to work on.
Please note that the test will only give you an approximate picture of your level. A consultation with a teacher and/or taking the TORFL exam will help you determine your exact level.
If you already know that your level is higher than B1, this test is not suitable for you. The test consists of 73 questions. Each question has one correct answer.
Don’t worry if you don’t know the answer to a question, then just choose any option and continue.
